I'm happy to announce that I've been chosen as the featured artist for our Rutherford Arts Alliance. Rutherford is our county in middle Tennessee just outside of Nashville. I've been really busy this fall! I attended a workshop with Barbara Jaenicke which was AMAZING! I participated in the Greenway Arts Festival and the 'Boro International Festival, showing and selling my art, as well as painting live.
I had art represented at Gallerie Tangerine and AshBlue, both in Nashville. I'm excited to say that my piece "Thompson Trailhead II" sold!

I have a few more events coming up. From Oct 31-Nov 3 our Chestnut Group will be out at Shelby Park in Nashville, selling plein air paintings to raise money to support the park. I will strive to have 6 or more paintings in the show. The Chestnuts group's main goal is to keep green spaces and waterways healthy in and around Nashville. On Nov 16, I'll be part of the plein air art show and sale at the Oaklands Mansion in Murfreesboro with the Murfreesboro Plein Air Painters. I'm still working on a couple of commissions before Christmas, as well.
I'll be helping with many family friendly events this month, as well! This Saturday from noon to 4, I'll be helping at the Discovery Center in Murfreesboro doing art with the kiddos for the STEAM festival. Then, on Oct 24, I'll help with the Lantern Festival, also held at the Discovery Center. On Oct 26, we will have Harvest Days out at Cannonsburgh. Our Murfreesboro Art League will be participating by showing and selling art. Some artists will be painting live, and Sandra and I will be doing face painting on the porch (10-4).
Here are a few recent plein air paintings.
