Sorry I haven't been on here for a while. I NEED to post some of my newer art, but it's better to be painting than to be on the internet all the time - lol
It's that time again! We are having our SUMMER ART CAMP at the Murfreesboro Art League again this summer!
It will be at the back of Cannonsburgh historic village again in July. The dates are July 16-20 and 23-27 for beginners and July 30-Aug 3 for advanced. All classes are 9-noon. All supplies, water and snacks are provided for only $65. If you sign up before June 10, you get a $5 discount.
We will cover things like color theory (BEYOND the basic ROYGBIV!), perspective using the log cabins, printing, composition, people and faces, abstract/experimental and shading. We'll use the following mediums: watercolor, acrylics, papers, colored pencils and MORE!
Contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org for more info and a registration form!

I'm putting this out on here because, apparently my other posts are not spreading the word. The deadline has been extended to July 9 for the July 10-14 week, July 14 for the July 17-21 week, and July 21 for the advanced class on July 24-28. Please don't wait until the last minute, since I have to buy supplies and prepare! Woo hoo - can't wait!

I have been blessed lately with my works. I currently and/or soon will have nearly 60 of my paintings and photos on display. My plein air works from my recent camping trip are on display for about 1 1/2 weeks at Cultivate Co-working in Murfreesboro. (If you don't know what co-working is, stop by and ask Gretchen)
In addition, I always try to have some works up at the Murfreesboro Art League. I don't have a photo of the current group up there, however. I have several of my up-cycled works at a boutique in Berry Hill at the Smart Supplies location.
I also have some of my florals and abstracts (non-representational) at Springhouse Worship and Arts Center in Smyrna. They have amazing plays there, like the upcoming "Oklahoma." I have season tickets because the acting is so good!
I have been so busy this summer. I went on a 3 1/2 week camping and painting trip from TN, through LA and TX and on to CA. I wanted to prove that a 50something woman could do something like that alone. It was a wonderful experience, and I got many beautiful photos and paintings out of it. Here are some of the paintings from that trip. I have since touched up the skies and parts that were messed up while travelling, but this gives the general idea.
